Red Insurance and Marine & General Insurance have joined
forces with Mardon Marine, one of the UK’s largest leisurecraft and
marine trade insurance specialists. Both businesses are now trading
as Mardon Marine and will soon operate from new premises in
Kent.
Red Insurance specialises in dinghy and catamaran insurance and
was formed by John Tuckwell over 20 years ago as the result of his
passion for dinghy sailing. John was the Chairman of the Dart 18
Class for 5 years and organised and entered both national and
European classes. He is currently competing in the Hurricane 5.9

David Brett formed Marine & General in 2001 to provide motor
and sailing yacht marine insurance. He has over 40 years experience
of arranging both marine leisure and trade insurance and previously
established DB Insurance Brokers Ltd in 1971. David is the Vice
Chairman of the ILFSA (Insurance, Legal and Financial Services
Association) which is part of the BMF and has arranged insurance
